The Nerdess

Me and Spiderman... sorta

Ahh, a formal about me page. Isn’t this much nicer? Thanks for stopping by!

I’m Joey Roberts – blogger, photographer, designer and giant nerd. No, seriously. Giant nerd. You totally read that right, but if you haven’t figured that out from the website title, URL and various nerd-related posts, then that’s on you homie. I’m 27 years old, but you wouldn’t know it. I’m also from Stockton, CA, and my frequent bouts of paranoia of strangers in public definitely shows it.

I started prettynerdygirl.com years ago as a blog, changed it to a portfolio site, then back to blog, then about 10 other things before I finally made it my permanent home in December 2013. As my life took one drastic turn after another, so did this site’s intentions. UNTIL NOW! *queue dramatic music* Embracing my nerd side into my everyday life has been my deepest passion since I was rocking Disney shirts in elementary school and not giving a crap about what the other kids thought of me because I knew I was cool. I use my blog now to help others embrace their inner nerd and express it in their daily wears and home decor, while also sharing some sweet travel and cooking adventures.
